Phone wiring
O.K. Im not in any way knocking electricians here, but I do have a few things to mention. Most electrician run phone wire just like they did 20 years ago when phone wire consisted of 4 wires and your phone had a dial on it. It just simply cannot be done that way anymore. The odds are if you let an electrician wire your house, I dont care if they just picked up the wire that morning, that wire is out of date. You need somebody who is more familiar with networking, phone systems or even security to run your phone wires. Heres why! Every phone line must be run back to a central location. There are many different reasons why this needs to happen, but I will tell you one of the main reasons. There is new technology coming out every day and none of them rely on looping wires from phone jack to phone jack. I stress this point so much, because when people do it wrong, I have to fix it, but whats even worse, is that you have to pay for it twice. |
